Matthew is always accessible.
I first made contact with Matthew in the spring of last year. I already had a financial adviser down in Daventry but I wanted someone a little closer to home, so I went on the internet and had a look who was local to my area.
I saw straight away that Matthew had a very good reputation and had a company with a very good record. I was also very happy to discover that he does a lot of financial business with Vanguard. That was really important to me as they won the Which? Provider Award 2020 and offer financial products which are better value for money and that come with fewer costs so I wanted to find someone who offered Vanguard.
Matthew slotted straight in from a financial point of view. We retired in 2012, so it’s primarily investments and investments with income that Matthew looks after for us. I’m very happy with what he’s done. He’s already moved some finances for me from a situation I wasn’t happy with. I’m much happier knowing they’re now in Matthew’s safe hands. We’ll be moving more across soon.
Matthew is always accessible. He provides me with his mobile number, his landline, there’s the secure portal I can contact him through, email, we exchange WhatsApp, he’s on social media – I can communicate with him so easily. Communication is the key for me. I was in personal care, in sales for most of my career so communication is really important to me. I can text him and because I have an interest in finances, we have conversations back and forward.
He was upfront with me about costs. I asked him straight away what it was going to cost me and he was straight with me. I appreciated that.
And he really knows his business.
